03 \u2014 ORIGIN<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Where This Started<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Intervention Design Thinking began as a practical problem, not a theory \u2014 food system change mapping<\/a> work for Transforming Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s Food Systems Together<\/a> (THFT), led by Dr. Albie Miles<\/a> at the University of Hawai\u02bbi\u2013West O\u02bbahu<\/a> and Kirk Bergstrom<\/a> at WorldLink<\/a>. Answering a concrete question \u2014 which interventions would actually strengthen Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s food security \u2014 raised bigger ones about what counts as an intervention at all, and those questions turned out to apply far beyond food systems.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
