A living map of responsibilities
What is mine to tend?
Kuleana.info is a proof-of-concept civic platform for surfacing place-based responsibilities, matching people with appropriate ways to help, and making care visible before it becomes crisis.
SCQA
The connection is missing.
Situation
Every community depends on thousands of acts of care: stream restoration, youth mentoring, elder support, language preservation, board service, trail repair, translation, food systems, and neighborly attention.
Complication
Modern platforms map organizations, jobs, transactions, and volunteers. Few systems map responsibility itself, so critical kuleana can remain invisible, duplicated, or carried by the same exhausted people.
Question
Can a civic platform make kuleana discoverable by showing what needs tending, who is already caring, where support is missing, and how each person can enter responsibly?
Answer
Kuleana.info organizes around living responsibilities. Each kuleana object connects place, relationship, capacity, urgency, current stewards, and downstream effects.

This prototype uses bilingual Hawaiian/English touches to honor the conceptual frame while avoiding a claim of authority. The ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi here is draft interface language, not a certified translation or traditional form.
Any public use should be reviewed and co-developed with fluent ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi practitioners, Native Hawaiian cultural advisors, and people with appropriate relationships to the places and communities represented.
Prototype by RAD Studio. The purpose is to help communities see relationships clearly enough to act appropriately.
