Lunatic Sprints
A creative sprint reimagined as a 13-tone Wavespell — a cosmically patterned journey of manifestation from inner spark to collective release. Because when you treat time as art instead of money, you build a different kind of world.
Enter the Magnetic Gate
A Lunatic Sprint is not a two-week ticket-burn. It is a Wavespell — thirteen tones, thirteen moments in a single arc of creation, drawn from the 13-Moon calendar of José Argüelles.
Each tone is a step in a journey of manifestation: an awakened individual answers the call of creation, moves into a dance with collaborators, and finally releases the creation to the collective. The sprint is a spell you cast with a team — beginning within, and ending in the gift.
Time is art. When we treat time as money we exploit and compete; when we treat time as art we create, cooperate, and come alive.
The Structure
One Wavespell, four movements, thirteen tones
Begin Within
The sprint begins with the awakened individual answering the call of creation. Purpose is named, the challenge is faced, capacity is found, and intention takes form — before a single collaborator is invited in.
Purpose — attract and unify the intention.
Challenge — polarize; name the obstacle.
Service — activate; bond intention to action.
Form — define and measure the work.
Assemble the Team
The vision moves into a dance with potential collaborators. The circle is empowered, organized, attuned, and harmonized — the solo spark becomes a shared field.
Radiance — empower; gather the best.
Equality — organize; balance the roles.
Attunement — channel; find shared frequency.
Integrity — harmonize; model the whole.
Activate the Tribe
The creation is offered to the collective. Intention pulses out, the work is tested and produced, the old is released, and the fruit is dedicated as a gift to all.
Intention — pulse; realize the purpose.
Manifestation — perfect; produce the work.
Liberation — dissolve; release what is done.
Cooperation — dedicate; universalize the gift.
Exit the Wavespell
The thirteenth tone completes the spell. The work is done, the team steps back outside of linear time, and the sprint closes in presence and gratitude — ready to enter the next Magnetic Gate.
The Day Out of Time
Between one Wavespell year and the next sits a day belonging to no month — the Day Out of Time (July 25). Business stops; buying and selling stop. Instead: art, music, dance, and collective creativity. It is a yearly reset into peaceful consciousness — the living proof of the whole philosophy.
Art is the basis of peace. Not as a slogan, but as a practice: recognize art as a human birthright, use it to heal wounds and build bridges, and transform time from a commodity into a canvas.
Why “Lunatic”?
Luna. The moon. The 13-Moon, 28-day calendar that Argüelles offered as an alternative to the industrial 12-month grind — a rhythm he believed resonated with natural and cosmic cycles rather than the clock and the invoice. To run a Lunatic Sprint is to briefly step outside “time as money” and work inside “time as art”: to let a project move through a living arc instead of a flat deadline. It sounds mad by the logic of the workweek. That is the point.
- A sprint becomes a rite of passage, not a burndown chart.
- Every phase has a voice — I, WE, OUR — so the work is also relationship-building.
- Release is designed in: the creation is a gift to the collective, not a deliverable to a backlog.
- The cycle is renewable — exit one Wavespell, enter the next Magnetic Gate.
We create the world we want to live in. Dance as prayer. Paint as offering. Music as medicine.
